We’re building a clearer way to move money between the UK, Somaliland, and Somalia.
Tiro exists because this corridor deserves a product built around it, not adapted to it later. We focus on clarity, speed, and trust for the people sending money home and the businesses moving it.
For decades, sending money to Somaliland or Somalia meant agents, queues, opaque fees, and uncertainty about when the money would arrive. Mobile money changed everything on the ground — Zaad, eDahab, instant wallets used by millions. But no digital platform had truly been built for this corridor.
Tiro was founded to fix that. We’re not a generic remittance platform that added Somaliland as an afterthought. We built direct rails from the ground up — with transparent pricing and a transfer flow designed for the people actually using it.
We support both directions — UK and Europe to Somaliland and Somalia, and back. Because money doesn’t only flow one way, and neither should trust.

What we stand for.
Transparency
The rate you see is the rate you get. No surprises after confirmation. Every fee shown upfront — always.
Speed
Direct rails into Somaliland and Somalia built from the ground up. Premium transfers within 2 hours. Standard the same day.
Community
Tiro exists because of the UK Somali diaspora. Every decision is guided by the people we serve — not abstract market forces.
Small team. Big mission.
We’re a small team from London and Hargeisa — engineers, operators, and people who have sent money home ourselves. We’re building Tiro because we needed it, and because hundreds of thousands of others do too.
